If you open with an other software (Affinity Photo for instance), the recovering of the metadata is not guaranteed.īut this doesn't explain why the metadata are hidden sometimes in a TIFF file, depending on the reader you use ☹️ As soon as you open your image with Photoshop (Adobe !!), all the metadata are recovered, and you can find them in the xmp information panel. I can read them anyway with the Jeffey's Image Metadata Reader ( ) or with ImageExifViewer, but not with Preview, or Exif viewer, for instance.
So, this could explain why, when you create a TIFF file from C1 and try to read the metadata with a "normal" exif viewer, they don't appear, they are hidden. My two other cents : we mustn't forget that TIFF is universal, but property of Adobe.
